After over 100 years we no longer   have a Village Store / Post Office. If you wish to rectify this situation attend the 2nd Public Meeting in Buckland St Mary Village Hall on Wednesday 10th September at 8.00pm The Ball's in Your Court.

When the original hall was burnt down in 1989 it was considered a golden opportunity to replace it with a larger and better hall which would be able to cater for a wide variety of village activities as required by the diverse clubs and societies.   Although the insurance from the previous hall together with a County Council grant helped towards its cost, £25,000 was raised by the villagers enabling the project to be completed.  The new hall was erected and officially opened in 1991.
