South Hill Farm is a large, beautifully landscaped garden with trees, shrubs, herbaceous borders and a wetland area which visitors can walk through. There is also an adjoining ‘cottage’ garden.
Lower Rull is an interesting country garden set in mature trees.  There are small spring fed ponds, a greenhouse and a vegetable patch, plus a selection of shrubs with some "odd oddities".
One of the gardens was opened by Mike and Frances Fortune. Frances suffers from rheumatoid arthritis, so the chosen charity was the National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society. Pictured presenting a cheque for £150 to Lorraine Cooke from the Society is Mike Fortune. Left is the Yarty Gardening Club's vice Chairman, John Gusterson.
