On a cold but bright and dry day, the
Buckland St Mary Remembrance Service was held at 3.00pm on 10th
November. The Buckland branch of the Royal
British Legion led the procession into St Mary's Church followed by the
Brownies, Cubs, Guides and Scouts.
The service was led by Andrew Bell for a large congregation.
Towards the end of the service the Standards
were taken outside where everybody gathered around the War Memorial to
hear the names read out of all those who had given their lives in both
World Wars and keep a two minute silence.
After the service light refreshments were served
in the Church.
