The Royal British Legion exists to promote
the welfare of those who are serving or who have served in the armed forces
of the Crown and their dependants. Fund raising is a primary function to
support the welfare of all members of the serving and ex-service community.
Membership is open to those who have served
in the armed forces for 7 days or more (Ordinary) , and to anyone who
supports the Legion and its aims (Associate). The Branch holds
meetings of its members every 3 months, on Monday evenings, in the village
hall. Fund raising events and social events are held from time to time.
There is an annual Branch Service of Remembrance at St Mary's at 3pm on
Remembrance Sunday.
